Talking stage
The talking stage is the early getting-to-know-you period before a first date or shortly after it, when two people message or call regularly to figure out whether it's worth continuing.
It differs from a situationship in that there's no real physical or long-term emotional closeness yet — it's more of a prelude than a state of its own.
